The story of Axelent began in the 1990s in Hillerstorp, Småland, with a vision to create safer workplaces for those working with machines and industrial processes. Driven by innovation and a commitment to safety, the company quickly expanded, introducing solutions like machine guards to improve safety in productions and warehouses, and impact protection to keep employees and infrastructure safe.
Today, Axelent operates globally, with more than 350 employees worldwide. Despite significant growth, we have preserved a strong sense of community and togetherness, which remains at the heart of our company culture.

In my role as an Inside Sales Representative at Axelent, I’m responsible for finding the optimal safety solution for each customer. Through daily contact with clients, I work to understand their needs and create complete, customized solutions that contribute to a safe and efficient environment. What I value most about Axelent is the family-oriented culture, the opportunity to work with innovative products that truly make a difference and being surrounded by colleagues who are genuinely passionate about what they do.

Meet Erik Wiström, Managing Director of Axelent Nordic
How long have you worked at Axelent?
I have been working at Axelent for four years.
What motivates you personally as a leader?
It motivates me to make other people grow as individuals and as a team. It is inspiring to see that people enjoy working at Axelent and that they want to be a part of our journey. For me, a strong driving force is to always strive for better results and to reach or even exceed our goals. Positive feedback from customers and colleagues gives me a lot of energy.
What experience did you have before you started working at Axelent?
I have been in various roles within sales, marketing and business development for my entire career. During thirteen years prior to starting at Axelent I was in leadership positions within different line of businesses. I have had the privilege to gain experience from the aviation industry, the energy sector and telecom.
You commute from Jönköping to Hillerstorp – what makes the trip to work worth it every day?
That we are constantly challenging ourselves and developing as a company. I love my work and feel appreciated for what I am doing. I really enjoy being in a global company with a culture of team spirit and inclusiveness across all our teams. This makes it easy commuting to work!
