The story of Axelent began in the 1990s in Hillerstorp, Småland, with a vision to create safer workplaces for those working with machines and industrial processes. Driven by innovation and a commitment to safety, the company quickly expanded, introducing solutions like machine guards to improve safety in productions and warehouses, and impact protection to keep employees and infrastructure safe.
Today, Axelent operates globally, with more than 350 employees worldwide. Despite significant growth, we have preserved a strong sense of community and togetherness, which remains at the heart of our company culture.

As the Office Manager at Axelent, I’m responsible for supporting our customers and coordinating the flow of incoming orders. What I appreciate most about my role is the teamwork and trust within our office, it makes even the busiest days enjoyable. I also enjoy the mix of tasks in my role, as it keeps the job interesting and lets me stay involved in different parts of the business.

Meet Daniel Maxwell, Managing Director of Axelent UK
How long have you worked at Axelent?
I’ve been with Axelent for just under nine years.
What motivates you personally as a leader?
Seeing team members achieve the goals we set out together is what drives me most. I’m motivated by progress — both in the business and in the personal development and growth of individuals within the team.
What experience did you have before you started working at Axelent?
Before joining Axelent, my professional background was quite different from the industry we serve today. I worked in motorsport at both national and international levels as a Race Technician for several professional Superbike Racing Teams competing in the British and World Superbike Series. In that environment, results and precision were everything — every task had to be completed to the highest standard and under intense pressure. It was there that I developed strong foundations in teamwork, leadership, direction, and strategic planning.

Beyond the quality solutions we provide, the best part of working at Axelent is the people. Across both our local and global teams, we have an incredibly strong and diverse group of colleagues who share similar values, drive, and mindset — which makes Axelent a truly rewarding place to work.
