Sebastian Vega, Sales Project Manager
As Sales Project Manager at Axelent Nordic, Sebastian Vega combines sales development with hands-on project management in the Norwegian market. From identifying new opportunities to coordinating project delivery, he works closely with customers, colleagues and installation partners throughout the process.
H2: Can you describe your role as Sales Project Manager and what your main focus is at Axelent Nordic?
I have a dual role at Axelent Norway, combining sales development with project execution. I work on identifying new opportunities and projects, drawing on my experience and network within the construction industry.
Once a project moves forward, I work closely with my colleagues to develop the right solution for the customer. When we win an order, I stay involved throughout the process, from contracts and customer dialogue to planning and project execution. Together with our installation partners and colleagues, we ensure that each project is delivered to a high standard.
H2: How would you describe Axelent as an employer to someone who does not know the company?
Axelent combines its entrepreneurial roots in Småland with the opportunities and resources of a global organisation. What makes Axelent special to me is the focus on innovation, safety and long-term relationships.
We have grown into an international company, but there is still a strong drive to develop, find new solutions and create safer workplaces around the world.
H2: What do you believe is most important when building strong customer relationships in your market?
I believe visibility, accessibility and trust are key to building strong customer relationships. It is important to stay close to customers, understand their business and be involved early in upcoming projects.
Being available is equally important, especially when challenges arise or something has not gone as planned. Those are often the moments when relationships are truly tested. By taking responsibility, communicating openly and focusing on solutions, you can build trust and maintain strong relationships over time.
H2: Is there a customer meeting or project that has particularly stayed with you, and why?
There have been many memorable customer meetings and projects throughout my career, so it is difficult to choose just one. What I enjoy most is meeting people, understanding their needs and finding solutions that create value for their business.
The projects that stay with me are those where we work closely with the customer to understand their specific requirements and develop the right solution. Seeing a project go from an initial conversation and idea to a finished solution that the customer is genuinely happy with is particularly rewarding.
“Customers are looking for partners who can contribute knowledge and experience, not just suppliers.”
H2: How do you think the role of sales will evolve in the coming years, and what will become increasingly important?
I believe the role of sales will become increasingly consultative. Rather than simply selling products, we will act more as trusted advisors, helping customers improve safety, protect their machinery and secure their facilities.
It will also become increasingly important to be involved early in projects. By working closely with customers and decision-makers from the planning stage, we can better understand their challenges and provide solutions that create real value. Customers are looking for partners who can contribute knowledge and experience, not just suppliers.
“Safety is at the core of our business, and that mindset applies not only to the products we deliver but also to the way we work.”
H2: How do Axelent’s values influence the way you work with customers and colleagues?
Axelent’s values influence the way I work every day. For me, that means acting with honesty, integrity and respect, and taking responsibility in my relationships with both customers and colleagues.
Safety is at the core of our business, and that mindset applies not only to the solutions we provide but also to the way we work. We never compromise on safety, whether it concerns our own employees, our installation partners or our customers.
