Fredric Forsell - Head of Operations
Since August, Fredric Forsell has been part of Axelent as the new Head of Operations, we have done an interview with him so you can get to know him a little better.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your background:
Before joining Axelent, I have worked in Operations and business optimization at several large groups, including Electrolux, Kongsberg and Nobia.
How did you come into contact with Axelent and what was your first impression of the company?
I have previously in my career worked for a company based in Hillerstorp so I have had a bit of an eye on Axelent and seen how it has grown into the company it is today. So it is extra exciting to continue to build on such a family-oriented and ambitious company.
From the very beginning, I have had a very good impression of Axelent as a company and workplace, and now that I have been part of the company for some time, I feel that the good reputation Axelent has corresponds to reality.
It was very much this that attracted me to the company, also that there is an incredible ambition, forward thinking and big plans for the future. It is always more fun to build a company and brand than to tear it down.
What are you most looking forward to in your role in the company and what is your main area of focus right now?
I am looking forward to contributing my experience and creating a strong structure that will take the company forward and create strong growth. Right now, my focus is on structuring processes and ensuring that we keep our commitments to our customers.
In the longer term, I aim to build the necessary conditions for us to continue to grow according to our strategy. This includes creating capacity in production and ensuring that we are equipped to meet future challenges and opportunities.
You have previously worked with different compasnies and safety in their products, what is the biggest difference in terms of safety thinking compared to Axelent?
The biggest difference is that in the automotive industry there are absolutely no margins for error when it comes to safety in the products, of course Axelent works and takes several measures to prevent errors in production or injuries in the workplace. In addition, there is a drive in the company and an enormous spirit of progress with great future plans that I think feels unique to Axelent. It also feels extra good to be part of a company that is never satisfied with where they are at the moment, but always wants to grow and right now the journey is going very fast, which is an incredible feeling.
At Axelent, safety is our core business, what is safety to you?
In a workplace, safety for me means that all employees come to a safe workplace and feel joy and pride in working at Axelent. Safety is something that must never be prioritized, but it should be the first thing you ask about as a manager and not focus solely on the result. I feel extra proud to say that Axelent lives as we teach, our focus is entirely on safety and making the workplace as safe as we possibly can.
What are the biggest changes you are planning to continue to ensure safety, both as a workplace and towards customers?
As I mentioned before, my goal is to create and establish a structure for different processes in the daily work and to always have safety as a priority and let it permeate all the work. In the long term, I want it to become so established and embedded in the company that it has become a natural part of our corporate culture.
